The Brazilian Nanotechnology National Laboratory (LNNano) is organizing the seventh edition of the Transmission Electron Microscopy Summer School (7th TEM Summer School). The event will be hosted by the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) in Campinas-SP, Brazil, from January 15th to 26th, 2018. The applications will be opened online on September 15th 2017 at the School website. 80 applicants will be selected for this edition. This School is directed to graduate students (masters and PhD’s) and researchers from Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics and correlated areas. During two weeks, both theoretical and practical concepts will be taught in lectures delivered by renowned researchers in the electron microscopy field, from important research institutes and universities in Brazil and around the world. All attendees will present their research projects in poster sections during the School, opening an opportunity to discuss the use of TEM techniques directly with the invited lecturers and LNNano researchers. The scientific environment of the 7th TEM Summer School will stimulate the scientific cooperation between the attendees, speakers and LNNano researchers.
