The Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), with support from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), offers a Master’s Scholarship position in Functionalized Two-Dimensional Materials, to work on the development of new sensors and biosensors based on reduced graphene oxide (rGO ). The project will be carried out at the Devices Division of the Brazilian Nanotechnology National Laboratory (LNNano).
Project title: “Electrical and Electrochemical Devices from Graphene Derivatives: Functionalization, Interface Control and Applications in (Bio)sensors”
About the project
Two-dimensional lamellar materials (2DMs) are currently at the center of research efforts worldwide, either for fundamental studies of their unique properties, or for the development of new technological applications.
Project activities include: micro and nanofabrication of devices in a cleanroom environment, electrical and electrochemical device characterization, 2D materials and interfaces functionalization and sensors and biosensors development for the healthcare sector.
The scholarship position is inserted in the context of the “Projeto Jovem Pesquisador” “Functionalized 2D Materials Processed in Solution: Development of Prototypable Electrical Sensors and Biosensors” (FAPESP process nº: 2021/06238-5).
How to apply:
The requirements for the position are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry;
- Advanced English level.
Interested parties must send, by March 31, 2025, a copy of their Lattes CV and undergraduate transcript to the address: rafael.furlan@lnnano.cnpem.br.
