Open microscopy facilities offer the scientific community access to advanced techniques for characterizing materials by Electron Microscopy, Cryomicroscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy. In addition to traditional image acquisition and chemical analysis, users can perform unique experiments such as three-dimensional characterization, heating and cooling of temperature-varying samples, characterization of liquid samples, and more.
Access to these facilities can be done through the submission of research proposals that will be analyzed by an external committee.
In view of the high demand for requests to use the facilities, the evaluated proposals that best meet the evaluation criteria will have access to the equipment. Selected users who do not have experience in microscopy will be trained until they reach proficiency in operating the equipment.
