Luis Carlos Silveira Vieira

Telecommunications, electronics and mechanics technician (Senai) and specialist in vacuum and ultra-auto-vacuum technology (Unicamp). He worked as a laboratory technician at CPqD / Telebrás from 1986 to 2000. He worked in the fabrication and characterization of lasers and detectors based on III-V semiconductors. He was responsible for roughing and polishing substrates, diffusion in sealed ampoules, heat treatment and manufacturing of quartz pieces.

At CNPEM since 2000, he has worked in Materials (LNLS), with sample preparation for analysis and brazing of metal / ceramic alloys, in the metallization stage for the manufacture of ring kickers, as well as tensile tests and mechanical / chemical polishing.

In the LNLS Projects group, he worked on assembling the beamlines, developing, manufacturing and assembling silicon-based monochromators. He actively participated in the assembly of the sample preparation equipment in the beamlines, supporting external and internal users.

At the Microfabricação Laboratory / LNNano, he works on the design and development of microfluidic devices for various applications, mainly in industrial projects. He has experience in cutting and separating devices and setting up experiments. He has an expressive role in the maintenance of the laboratory, including the clean room, as well as in supporting CNPEM’s external and internal users.
