Carlos Alberto Rodrigues Costa

Graduated in 1990 with a Food Engineering degree from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and a PhD in Sciences and Materials Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP; 2004). Postdoctoral fellowship in Nanotechnology (UNICAMP, 2005), using SPM techniques as basic tools. He worked for 8 years in the areas of electrochemistry and probe scanning microscopy, providing technical and application support for manufacturing companies and scientific instruments’ representatives. Given his experience in instrumentation, he has conducted several training courses promoted by AFM manufacturing companies, in Brazil and abroad, including TopoMetrix (Germany), Shimadzu (Japan), NanoSurf (Switzerland), JPK (Germany), Anasys and BRUKER. He has been engaged in the implementation, maintenance, operation and expansion of atomic force microscopy open facilities for internal and external users.
