The Innovation team highly promotes efforts and initiatives to protect and to disseminate the knowledge generated at LNNano and is very willing to technology licensing.
The Laboratory offers very flexible and competitive negotiation terms for transfer of know-how or of protected technologies, managing transfers not as isolated, nonstrategic events involving little more than procedural exchange of process documents between sending and receiving parties, but establishing a comprehensive approach to ensure ongoing best practices.
All negotiations are conducted under strict conditions of confidentiality and may be regulated by a contract of secrecy or a non-disclosure agreement, at the request of the party.
Potentially interesting technologies generated by LNNano R&D which are attractive to the private sector for commercial exploitation, or technologies generated as outcome of projects in partnership with companies of the private sector are submitted to protection by the Brazilian Patent Authority (INPI) and foreign patent offices.
